What you need before you start.

Get the most from your time training with us by making sure you know how we work and what you need to succeed.

Before you start…

So before you start with us here at Evolution we recommend you read the following to make sure you have everything ready to make your programme as smooth sailing and productive as possible.

What you will need…

  • Gmail Mail account.

    (to be able to access your google drive folder where your programme will be stored).

  • Basic knowledge of excel.

    (not vital as you will have your coach to help you understand the programme).

  • Contactable telephone number.

  • MyFitnessPal.

    (allows for nutritional data capture).

  • Access to teams.

    (video calling software, used for weekly check-ins).

  • Access to YouTube.

  • Your desired goal/target.

We also recommend you complete the body composition testing from our fitness test page (The tests with a * next to them are the ones we need you to complete) and put this information on our checkout form when your purchase your programme.

If you are purchasing a strength and conditioning programme, please email us prior to purchase requesting on the fitness tests you will need to complete for your specific sport and goals. Please state the following: Name, Age, Sport, Position, Goals and aims.

If you can not complete this and unsure of what you will need to do, do not worry we can walk you through these within your programme design.

How it all works…

The information below will give you the layout on what you will receive from our online PT and Strength and conditioning service and what to expect during your time with us.

  1. We will always advise to look through our website first to give you all the information you need to choose the service you wish. This will allow you to also conduct any body compositions or fitness tests before purchase and/or any questions you email to us, to be answered.

  2. PURCHASING THE SERVICE: Select the service and head to our checkout. throughout the checkout there will be a form for you to complete and agree to our T&Cs and policies.

  3. ONCE PURCHASED: Within four days or less you will receive your programme.

  4. In the meantime you will be contacted by your coach via phone call and/or email with instructions and to book your first check-in. This gives you time to go through the instructions and ask any questions you may have and to practice using MyFitnessPal.

  5. PROGRAMME DAY: the day you receive your programme you will be notified by email with a link to your shared folder on google drive (between you and your coach). This will have your programme, folders to upload your photos and videos and a monitoring sheet where you can add any questions you may have whilst you are training that you would like to go over in your check-in.

  6. On this day please look through your programme and make sure you know the exercises you will need to complete. All exercises will be able to be found on YouTube, however if you have an issue finding that exercise contact your coach right away and they will find one for you or even make a video specifically for that exercise.

  7. CHECK-IN: You will be emailed as a reminder for the check-in time and day and to also upload any photos/videos and to check your programme is filled in up to date so you coach can analyse this before your check-in. The more you keep up to date, the more videos you upload the more information your coach can provide. If you can’t make that time please contact your coach ASAP to re-arrange.

  8. All check-ins will be conducted weekly, any issues with attending your check-in, please contact your coach to arrange alternatives if possible.

  9. Check-ins will be 20 minutes long, your coach will go through the programme you have and give you feedback on the videos you upload. This will conclude with implementing 3 main coaching points to focus on for the following week. You will be emailed this after the check-in, and will be uploaded into your google drive folder.

  10. Towards the end of the programme you will be reminded of how long you have left and what to do if you wish to sign up again.

  11. AT THE END: you will be given a stats sheet of what you have achieved, follow on steps if you have purchased another programme and a feedback form for your coaches to help us develop the way we work and generate ideas to help all of you.
